Frequently Asked Questions (+semi-important info)

Q: Where do you live?
A: We love monuments. We just do. We especially love government monuments, malls with no shops, and reflection pools that are murky and that you are not allowed to swim in. Museums that charge money are for waffle drinkers. We find nonsensical traffic patterns and circles invigorating. We live in Washington D.C.
At the White House, per usual.
Q: On a scale of one to fancy, how fancy is this wedding? A: First, what would you wear to a fancy parade? Wear that.  Instead of floats and marching bands strolling down a street, there will be two people expressing their love for one another and entering into marriage. (Or, just imagine what you would wear to any formal, non-black tie affair, whichever works for you.)

Q: Should I wear a hat?
A: Entirely up to you. But if you do... do NOT eat it.

Q: After party?
A: We are staying at Hotel Commonwealth, which is adjacent to The Hawthorne. It's got fancy cocktails, enough said. We are likely planning a night cap there after the reception concludes. You are welcome to join! Let us know.

Q: I booked my hotel! Do you want to know where I'm staying?

A: Yes please! Here are a couple of options of places for you to choose from. But Boston is a delightful little town with many accommodation options. And, if you let us know where you’re staying, we can provide you a guest gift bag. Who doesn’t want that? Email us!

Q: Is Whitney changing Fisher to Auerbach?

A: After a short-lived campaign to change both of our names to Fishbach, I’ve decided to remain Whitney Chapin Fisher. If we have a dog who demands we all change our last name to Auerbach, we’ll consider it, but for now, we’re both staying named the same.

Q: Where's the honeymoon?

A: Croatia! And maybe Montenegro and Albania.

Q: Will Josee be able to make it?
A: She is a very busy cat who has only RSVP’ed with a maybe.

Josee. Inspiration for your attire, also.
